Departments
The Departments of EPYD are all of the individual areas of work that we focus on as an organization - internally and externally. Whether it's planning fundraisers or general meetings or holding our elected officials accountable, all jobs are necessary to keep the org functioning effectively and efficiently. We encourage members to get involved with any number of departments that really motivate them to get involved with. Some members might be content spending their time with us in a single Department. Others may sample each one. There is no wrong way to contribute to EPYD's success.
Each Department is led by a Department Secretary. The Secretary manages the Department's assignments and workers, reports to the Cabinet and Exec Board, and tracking member's participation within their Department.
At the end of the year, Secretaries will recognize members for their contributions and efforts in their respective Departments.

Accountability
This Department serves as EPYD’s “watchdog” force - the eyes and ears of the org. Voting records and actions will be tracked and categorized for membership reporting and to serve as advisory tools during the endorsement process.
Members will keep track of Elected officials votes, compile reports, and work with the Secretary to build profiles on all of our elected officials, to keep track of their records, and have solid information to base our endorsements and support on.

Community Outreach
This Department serves as EPYD’s main form of engaging with the community - the left arm we extend to build and heal with
The Secretary will develop plans for community outreach, coordinate with charities and NGOs, and track volunteer efforts for reporting.

Data
This Department is the Left Brain of our operations. From this Department we will track voting trends, conduct polling, track org statistics, and inform our Field Department with hard numbers to support strategies.
The Secretary will oversee the various aspects of the Department, and presents updated information as data continues to be sifted through.

Events
This Department assists in managing the logistics of org events - meetings, socials, community engagement events, etc - the heart of the organization.
The Secretary provides support to all Departments and Caucuses requiring assistance in planning an event. Contacting venues, ironing out details, acquiring permits, ensuring all safety measures are being taken, etc.

Field
This Department is the Right side brain of the org. Provided with the insight and data from the Data department, this Department oversees our ground game strategy.
The Secretary will oversee our entire Field operations. The department will have subcategories led by deputies to be appointed by the Secretary.

Fundraising
This Department is the stomach of the org, it ensures the organization is bringing in enough dollars to sustain its goals and ambitions. It will never be satisfied.
The Secretary is responsible for developing and executing fundraising ideas and must be mindful to remain in compliance with all TEC regulations regarding fundraising.

History
This Department is meant to catalogue our organization and county party.
The Secretary will oversee the various areas of the Department and will design the strategy for writing, conducting, and preserving interviews.

Media
This Department is the mouth, the voice of the org. Responsible for overseeing all social media pages. This Department has the widest spread delegation of duties
The Secretary will oversee all deputies and make final editing calls on all content. Each social media account may be ran by up to two deputies to be appointed by the Secretary

Membership
This Department is responsible for Member outreach and engagement. The legs and feet our org stand upon.
The Secretary assists with contacting members with reminders about meetings and events. The Secretary will assist in pushing members to engage and volunteer, providing training and working to overcome obstacles to make participation accessible for all members.

Voter Outreach
This Department oversees efforts to not only find and recruit new voters, but to follow up with them and help them along the beginning of their political awakening. The right arm we extend to bring new people in.
The Secretary shall plan and execute voter registration events, and voter contact efforts.
